Domino Gallery will open for our ‘closing event’ of 21 Steps exhibition that will happen as part of Light Night.

As part of our closing event David will be showing, for the first time, his film on the steps he has taken in order to get Up & Coming Arts set up as a company. We are planning to have live music during the evening and exploring ideas for other performances / events.

David Thomas Crawley will be showing a projection of his 21 Steps film he has taken. This will be shown alongside artists work within the exhibition. People are asked to film or photograph their feet whilst walking around the Light Night, this can be submitted via or social media websites on YouTube, Vimeo and ArtPlayer TV

This is a competition to see how many steps you are taking around Light Night. Please upload these to our channel or send your submissions to info@upandcoming.org  subject heading ‘Light Night Competition’

21 Steps is also happening at Studio 2 Parr Street with music from Liverpool Sound City. In order to gain entry to this part of the exhibition wristbands must be purchased via their site.

21 Steps exhibition ends on Saturday 19th May 2012 at Domino Gallery and Studio 2 Parr Street, Liverpool.

What a weekend it was and amazing experience had by all in Liverpool and thanks to Royal de Luxe for the Giant Spectacular weekend!


We announced that we had a competition and have received a few images of David Thomas Crawley filming the Giant Uncle on Saturday 21st April 2012. We are happy to announce that our winners image was taken by local Liverpool photographer Lauren Coombs who caught David in the act of filming. Well done and her special prize will be coming very soon!


We are in the process of planning a closing event as part of Light Night here in Liverpool on Friday 18th May 2012 to take place at Domino Gallery. Further details will be released towards the end of the month. Wonder what we have planned? SSSShhhhhhhhh!!!!!


In the meantime we have our website up and running showing our artists work as part of Up & Coming Arts presents 21 Steps at Domino Gallery and Studio 2 Parr Street, Liverpool.

Announcing new staff for 2012 and further developments

Here at Up and Coming Arts (soon to be a CIC) later in the year. We are currently seeking advice from LJMU and Pacific Stream Enterprise for this purpose.

David is happy to announce that he has appointed Karima Hamache of Your Business Projects as Directors Assistant/Admin Manager. Karima has plenty of experience in business and has her own company set up at Basecamp3 here in Liverpool, UK.

David was on BBC Radio Merseyside yesterday with Roger Phillips phone in on BBC Radio Merseyside (scroll to 42.56).

David Thomas Crawley is currently based in Domino Gallery in Liverpool and a big thank you to Felicity Wren for allowing him and Up & Coming Arts to be located there.

Thanks to Gary Adlen at Liverpool FC for sponsoring David to attend the GEC in March 2012 here in Liverpool.
